Farm Excursion

The Prep classes (and teachers) are very excited about our trip to the farm on Wednesday. The children are all looking forward to different activities, including pony riding, milking the cow and ‘poopa scooping’.

Positive Feedback

Hi all,
It’s great reading all the positive comments that are being left in the blog. Keep them coming and let’s encourage more parents to log in with their children (I understand that some ppl don’t have the net). It is just a great link between home and school. If you would like to see something included let me know and I will try and include it.
Having some trouble with changing the avatar… if anyone is able to change theirs let me know your secret.

Preps log in with buddies.

Today the Preps logged in with their buddies in Grade 5 to complete some of the activities on here. They had some great responses and loved showing their buddies how to use the site. Click through the pages and check them out..

Pages set up with tasks

Hi all,
Hopefully you have all found your way into our blog space. Using your login and password you can log in and make comments. The children have viewed the site at school and are very excited at the prospect of their parents and other special people in their lives being able to see what we are doing at school.
For the site to work comments and participation are required. We have opted to keep the site anonymous ie. no school name and no student names. Privacy is often a concern when using the internet so this is one way we can keep it within the school community. I am hoping to post photos of school activities on the blog but will not post photos of your children without permission.
So lets get started.. flick through the pages and try some of the tasks.. They are all meant to be fun and involve both parent and child.

PS. It is supposed to be a bit of fun and it might help further develop your ICT skills too! Spelling and grammar is not a priority…in this space.

Welcome to our Blog.

Dear Parents,
At a recent Professional Development on “Enhancing Learning through ICT” we explored the use of blogs, wikis and other online resources. There is so much potential and it is so exciting what we can do with this information in education.
I am hoping to involve all the children in Grade Prep in these areas and also use it at a means of keeping parents informed of what we are doing at school.
I hope you find it useful.. please remember we are all learning how to use it and it is a continual work in progress.
